Katherine Stewart has long been the canary in the coal mine when it comes to Christian Nationalism. In 2020, just before the presidential election, she published “The Power Worshippers,” all about the threat of that movement. It even inspired the documentary “God & Country.”

Her new book is even scarier, in part because she is so good at knowing what’s coming down the pipeline. It’s called “Money, Lies, and God: Inside the Movement to Destroy American Democracy” (affiliate link), and it reveals the connection between Christian Nationalism, wealth, and the death of American democracy.
